Uber for Water

The Best Things to Do in Baltimore This Weekend...

Hey Baltimore—

Harbor Boating just launched an app-based on-demand Water Taxi service for the Inner Harbor, letting you request pick-ups and drop-offs directly between destinations, similar to how Uber works but on the water. Anyways.

🏠 For Sale: A 4-bed, 4.5-bath rowhouse in Baltimore's Locust Point — 3,060 sq ft across four levels, gourmet open-concept kitchen, a luxurious primary suite with soaking tub, a rooftop deck with 360-degree city views, and a gated two-car garage (a rare find in the city). Priced at $610,000.

🍽️ Menu Item: $15 crab cakes at Jimmy's Famous Seafood — every Thursday, with old school music and retro vibes in the original first-floor bar.

🎟️ Hot Ticket: The Big Baltimore Kite Fest is back at Patterson Park on April 11th (noon–4pm) — free, family-friendly, with kite demos, a make-your-own kite workshop, live music, food vendors, and a sky full of color.

Here’s what we’ve got this week:

  • The Tipsy Scoop Baltimore Grand Opening…

Date Spot Of The Week

📍 3300 Clipper Mill Road, Baltimore, MD, 21211

True Chesapeake Oyster Co. is one of those places that earns its reputation every single time. Tucked into Clipper Mill in Hampden, it's the rare restaurant where the farm-to-table story is completely literal — they grow their own oysters on Maryland's St. Jerome Creek and serve them the same night.

Start on the half shell with their Skinny Dippers or Chunky Dunkers, then work your way into the small plates. The blue crab & bone marrow dip with grilled bread and the oyster stew — made to order, with bacon, potatoes, and tarragon — are both non-negotiables. For mains, the seared scallops with pork belly and sea island red pea cassoulet is the move, though the braised brisket with cheddar grits and oyster stout barbecue sauce makes a strong case for itself.

The drinks menu holds up its end — Wine Spectator Award of Excellence two years running, which means the wine list is serious without being intimidating. The whole room has that Hampden energy: unpretentious, creative, and genuinely fun.

P.S. Sunday brunch runs 11am–3pm if you want oysters before noon. No judgment here.
