Pet Of The Week
Have a furry, feathered, or scaly friend you’re proud of? Send a photo and a few fun facts, and we might feature them in an upcoming issue. It’s a fun way to share smiles with the community and discover local pet resources along the way.
This week’s reader submission is: Hatchi
“This is Hatchi, he’s as cute as he is mischievous. A menace to his bro - like any little brother - and the self appointed “mission leader,” whose mission is still unknown to his human ataché.”

Hatchi, surprisingly mischievous!
P.S. I’m also looking to partner with a local pet business to help bring this section to life—if that’s you (or someone you know), shoot me an email here.
Date Spot Of The Week
The Black Olive (Fells Point)
📍 814 S Bond St, Baltimore, MD 21231
This week’s restaurant of the week takes us to The Black Olive — a timeless Fells Point favorite known for warm hospitality, pristine seafood, and deeply rooted Greek flavors. It’s an especially strong pick during Baltimore Restaurant Week, when their three-course menu showcases the kitchen’s range while still feeling intimate and unhurried.
Start by sharing classic appetizers like Greek-style lamb meatballs, house-made hummus and melitzanasalata, or grilled sardines wrapped in grape leaves, then move into entrées such as the rockfish kebob, Greek village pie, or chicken souvlaki — with optional splurges like scallops, filet mignon, or a jumbo lump crab cake if you’re feeling indulgent. Finish with desserts like tiramisu baklava ice cream or bourbon chocolate cacao cake, and consider pairing the meal with one of their Greek wine flights for the full experience.
If you’re looking for a romantic, old-school Baltimore dining experience that rewards slowing down and savoring every course, The Black Olive is a Restaurant Week standout.
Thanks for reading Eating Baltimore today. Share it with someone who doesn’t shovel their sidewalk.
Have a great weekend!
