Baltimore's Crookie Craze
The Best Things to Do in Baltimore This Weekend...

Hey Baltimore—
We just got our latest pastry obsession. The crookie. An idea just crazy enough to work… a buttery, flaky croissant with gooey chocolate-chip cookie dough tucked inside — isn’t just a viral TikTok fantasy anymore, it’s landing on local menus and winning fans fast.
At spots like La Maison by Café Dear Leon (and its sister Café Dear Leon), bakers are folding French-style brown-butter cookie dough right into laminated croissant dough, then topping it with a salty caramelized chocolate finish that’s equal parts sweet and sophisticated.
Originally dreamed up in Paris and catapulted to fame online with millions of views, the crookie craze has found a home here — with locals asking for it by name and shops selling upward of dozens a day. If you’re into modern pastry trends that actually hit the mark, this one might be worth the early-morning pastry run. Anyways.

Homestays are central to the program. Primanti Bros. Closes Linthicum Heights Location
The Pittsburgh-born sandwich chain known for piles of fries and coleslaw on its signature “Almost Famous” sandwiches has shuttered its Linthicum Heights restaurant after less than two years in business, according to local reports. Date Spot Of The Week
Bunny’s Buckets & Bubbles (Fells Point)
📍 801 S Ann St, Baltimore, MD 21231
This week’s date spot takes us to Fells Point for Bunny’s Buckets & Bubbles — a playful, comfort-forward spot that turns fried chicken and champagne into a full-on night out. The move here is simple: start with a round of bubbles, then dive into one of their signature chicken buckets with house-made sauces and sides that actually hold their own.
The vibe is colorful, high-energy, and a little cheeky — perfect if you want something that feels fun instead of formal. It’s the kind of place where you can split a bucket, clink glasses over fries, and keep the night rolling to the next stop in the neighborhood.
If your ideal date night is equal parts crispy, fizzy, and unpretentious, Bunny’s makes it very easy to say yes.
