Date Spot Of The Week

📍 Thames Street Oyster House, 1728 Thames St, Baltimore

Thames Street Oyster House is the kind of Fells Point date spot that makes you feel like you made a very good decision the moment you walk in. Set in a converted historic row home steps from the waterfront, it's cozy, charming, and built entirely around the premise that great seafood and a good drink are all you actually need for a memorable night out.

What to order: Start at the raw bar — they rotate at least ten oyster varieties daily from both coasts, and the Oyster Shooter with Natty Boh and Old Bay rim is a very Baltimore move. For appetizers, the Gulf Shrimp Ceviche with orange-lime, aji amarillo, and avocado is a bright opener, or go richer with the Braised PEI Mussels in habanero-aleppo butter. For the main event, the Cast Iron Crab Cake with local blue crab is the signature call, while the Block Island Scallops, Maine Lobster Polenta, or Friday's Bouillabaisse are all strong contenders depending on when you go.

The vibe: Warm, intimate, and quietly impressive — the kind of spot where the check comes in an empty oyster can and the whole night just feels a little more special than you planned for.
